Murray

Known for its central location in Salt Lake County, Murray has been called the Hub of Salt Lake County. It is a large suburban community located about 10 miles south of Salt Lake City along Interstate 15. Named for territorial governor Eli Murray, it is the state's fourteenth largest city. Once teeming with heavy industry, Murray’s industrial sector now has little trace and has been replaced by major mercantile sectors. There is plenty of space for recreation in the Murray City Park and nearby Mick Riley Golf course as well as other smaller parks. Murray park offers free concerts during the summer and a Farmers market.  Desert Star Playhouse located on State street, shows popular plays with a "Utah" twist.  Some of my favorite have been "Murder on the Front Runner Express"...a clue-less pyramid scheme.  "Star Wards"...These are not the elders you are looking for. Fun for the whole family and good food!
